Role Overview – Graduate Mechanical Engineer
Are you a motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate with a passion for product design and innovation? This is an exciting opportunity to join a well‑established engineering manufacturer that supplies high‑integrity equipment to customers across Europe. Working in a fast‑paced, technically advanced environment, you’ll be part of a team that designs highly specialised machinery used across a range of industrial applications.
As a Graduate Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the development and delivery of engineered products from concept through to manufacture. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to detailed design work, technical documentation, and continuous product improvement.
Key Responsibilities – Graduate Mechanical Engineer
Analyse sales orders and releases to determine design and contract requirements
Collaborate with engineers to develop new and existing products using AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Produce precise engineering drawings for manufacturing and assembly
Create Bills of Materials and manage accurate release documentation
Support continuous improvement and ongoing product development initiative
Key Qualifications & Experience – Graduate Mechanical Engineer
Minimum 2:1 BEng in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
MEng advantageous but not essential
University projects, placements, or design experience beneficial but not required
Strong ability to create and interpret technical engineering drawings
Familiarity with CAD software such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks
Understanding of electrical or hydraulic drawings is a plus
Confident with MS Office applications
Curious, proactive, and passionate about product design
Strong communicator able to build relationships across the business
Logical thinker with innovative problem‑solving skills
