Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role aims to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of this position involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update before a formal offer of employment is made by East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are continually updated with new vetting information, which will be discussed with the applicant prior to employment.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Onthank Primary School Supported Learning Centre, Kilmarnock. The hours are 27.5 per week, scheduled at the line manager's discretion. The full-time salary range is £24,333 - £25,353 per annum, with the part-time, term-time salary between £16,398 - £17,085 per annum.
