Job Description
Provide support to learners and teachers by undertaking a range of non-teaching duties, including classroom administration and practical tasks such as contributing to the preparation of teaching materials. This role aims to assist with the promotion, delivery, and integration of the key objectives outlined in the Education Service Plan and the Community Plan.
Requirements
The duties of this post involve Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults, as specified in the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. Successful applicants will be required to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member in respect of Regulated Work with these groups, or if already a member, to undergo a PVG Scheme Record Update, prior to any formal employment offer from East Ayrshire Council. PVG records are regularly updated, and any relevant information will be discussed with the applicant before employment is confirmed.

The Individual
This is a temporary, part-time, term-time position based at Grange Academy, Kilmarnock, until 26 June 2026. The hours are 27.5 per week, Monday to Friday, as directed by the line manager.
The annual salary for full-time employment is between £24,333 and £25,353. The actual salary for this part-time, term-time role ranges from £16,398 to £17,085 per annum.
