Imagine being a friendly face and a reassuring presence - someone our customers rely on for guidance and practical help. As a Neighbourhood Assistant at Selwood Housing, you'll be at the heart of our communities, helping to create places that feel safe, cared for, and truly welcoming.
About the role
You'll provide day-to-day support across our neighbourhoods, helping to maintain safe and secure homes, assisting customers with queries, and supporting colleagues in delivering excellent housing services. You'll be the first point of contact for customers and will ensure our communities are vibrant, well-managed, and thriving.

What you'll do:

* Deliver an excellent, consistent and responsive housing management service to the patch area, whilst working alongside all appropriate agencies and stakeholders to ensure that neighbourhoods are managed effectively.
* Build relationships and act as an ambassador for Selwood Housing with partner agencies and residents, to develop initiatives which enable the neighbourhood to develop and improve residents quality of life.
* Deal with general tenancy correspondence and enquires as appropriate, ensuring accurate records are maintained, liaising with colleagues and other departments as necessary.
* Support the neighbourhood managers with higher risk cases where appropriate.
* Report safeguarding concerns, where identified, to the appropriate local authority.

You'll bring:
A minimum of GCSE or O' Level standard or equivalent.
Experience in housing organisation/or equivalent public-sector organisation.
Good communication skills - written and verbal.
Ability to prioritise and manage changing workloads.
Self-motivation and commitment to Selwood's values.

Please note: Successful candidate will be required to undertake a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Additionally, a full and valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use is essential for this role.
