Our client, a state-funded special school in Taunton, is seeking a committed and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistant to join their team. This specialist setting caters to students in Years 5 - 11 who have an EHCP supporting their SEMH and Social Communication and Language (SCL) needs. The school is dedicated to providing a nurturing, inclusive, and structured environment where students can build resilience, develop social and emotional skills, and achieve academic success.
Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored support to students with SEMH and SCL needs in both classroom and outdoor learning environments.
Assist in delivering a core curriculum focusing on literacy, numeracy, PSHE, and PE, alongside wider subjects including Art, Science, Careers, and Life Skills.
