The school is currently seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs on a full-time basis for the academic year. Specifically working across all year groups with complex autism. Training in PECS is desirable but not essential. Job Summary Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: Dagenham - Accessible by car and local public transport Pay: £90 per day minimum (PAYE) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Full academic year Working Hours: Full-time, term time only Requirements for an SEN Teaching Assistant Must have experience supporting children with: Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), particularly non-verbal children Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs Desirable: Experience or training in PECS Patience, resilience, and a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs Ability to work effectively within a team and take direction from class teachers and the SENCO Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one Compliance Criteria To be considered for this role, you must: Hold an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to apply) Provide a full CV covering employment history with any gaps explained Have the legal right to work in the UK Supply two professional references covering the last two years Provide proof of address and original documents for identity and safeguarding checks Why Work with Tradewind Recruitment?
