This home supports young people with EBD (low-risk behaviours) and provides a nurturing alternative to foster care, focusing on stability, structure, and positive outcomes.
You will report directly to the Registered Manager and play a key role in leading shifts and maintaining high standards of care.

👩💼 The Role – Team Leader
This role includes shift work on a 2 on / 4 off rota, including sleep-in shifts, within a 40-hour contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead shifts and support staff to deliver care aligned to placement plans
Supervise and mentor Residential Support Workers
Support care planning and review processes
Maintain safeguarding standards and regulatory compliance
Build strong partnerships with families, schools, and professionals
Support daily operations, records, and reporting
Promote positive behaviour support and emotional regulation strategies
Act as a role model and ensure consistent boundaries and expectations
✅ What We’re Looking For
Essential:
Minimum 1 year residential childcare experience
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice
Knowledge of safeguarding and relevant legislation
Ability to lead by example and maintain professional boundaries
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
IT confident (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Calm, resilient, and adaptable
Flexible to work shifts including weekends and sleep-ins
Full UK Driving Licence
Desirable:
Level 5 Leadership & Management qualification
Previous supervisory experience
Knowledge of residential childcare regulations and Ofsted standards

£35,366.93 per year
Overtime paid at £13.67 + ¼ enhancement
