Due to continued growth and the successful completion of new and exciting projects, the position of Graduate Quantity Surveyor has become available at Lagan MEICA Ltd. You will work alongside our existing commercial and site teams.
What you'll do
1. Provide commercial support to aid with the delivery of contracts.
2. Prepare accurate and timely reports for the management team.
3. Maintain and coordinate all required commercial reports.
4. Manage site material and labour trackers.
5. Ensure the accuracy of all commercial data.
6. Support the management team with procurement of subcontractors and materials.
7. Prepare all sub-contract documentation, ensuring main contract provisions are communicated to the supply chain to mitigate risks and cover additional risks.
8. Administer timely payments of all subcontractor accounts in line with the payment schedule and contract conditions.
9. Provide timely and accurate monthly reporting on subcontractor liabilities, capturing current and forecasted costs.
10. Assist in maximising value recovery, and in the identification, raising, and pricing of variations in line with change control processes.
11. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety Regulations.
12. Contribute to fostering an inclusive and equal opportunity culture across the company.
What you'll bring
As a Graduate Quantity Surveyor, your main skills and experience will include:
1. BSc in Quantity Surveying or a related commercially focused discipline.
2. A good understanding of Standard Form of Contract (e.g., NEC).
3. IT literacy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
4. Full UK Driving License and access to a vehicle for work travel.
Desirable:
1. Willingness to work towards professional membership of an organization such as RICS or ICES.
