The Role
Reporting to the Global Supply Chain Director, the Indirect Buyer is responsible for purchasing goods and services necessary for day-to-day operations but not directly used in the production of finished products. This includes office supplies, IT equipment, SAAS, Marketing etc.
Working in a dedicated and experienced team, the Indirect Buyer will focus on cost reduction and supplier management and manage a spend category of > $10m in order to keep the business running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
* Sourcing suppliers.
* Supplier relationship building and management.
* Negotiating prices, contracts, performance terms & conditions.
* Supplier development & review, monitoring performance.
* Plan & execute cost reduction strategies.
* Work closely with different departments internally to understand their needs for indirect services & goods.
* Assess potential risks associated with indirect purchases & implementing mitigation strategies.
* Monitor market conditions & performance, report on innovation, trends and potential opportunities.
Requirements:
* Minimum 5 years' indirect purchasing experience.
* University degree (preferably in business or related areas or technical degree).
* CPSM Certification or equivalent,
* Experience of purchasing SaaS with a good understanding of different licence types.
* Excellent communication & negotiation skills.
* Computer literate, good working knowledge of SAP.
Salary £35,000 - £39,000
Based in Worcester. Hybrid available after settling in period, 3 days in office, 2 days from home.
Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm.
