York and Scarborough Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is delighted to invite candidates to apply to work with us as an Ophthalmology Medical Retina Fellow.
The finalised job plan will be confirmed following the interview process. It will be on a 10 PA contract. The successful applicant will be on the middle grade on call rota on an approximately 1in7 frequency with prospective cover. This is a 12 month renewable contract.
Role and responsibilities
The successful candidate will join the team as a Medical Retina Fellow and will work closely with Prof Gale, Mr Hanson, Mrs Bailey, Miss Topping, Ms Airody, Ms Venugopal, Ms Gupta. The timetable will expose the post holder clinic experience and theatre experience if competencies allow. Successful candidates will be exposed to retinal clinics, laser treatments Research and urgent care. In addition, the fellow will also be expected to help facilitate research and ensure that all IP rights of the Trust are observed where applicable and the timetable will ensure dedicated time for this.
