Rom Motors are proud to present the opportunity for a Vehicle Technician to join our expanding team. This role will be ideally suited to a candidate with previous used vehicle preperation, service & diagnostic and repair experience. Rom Motors are a family run Prestige & Performance Specialist expanding the team to bring an in house technician into a growing established business.
Responsibilities would include the following:
- Working independently to test drive & asses vehicles for sale, report on condition & potential works & then carry our that work to a high standard.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vehicles, oil changes, tire changes, diagnostics & repair.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues & not just replace, but repair.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify any potential problems or safety concerns.
- Complete necessary paperwork and documentation for each repair or maintenance task.
- Keep work area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
- Liaise with suppliers to order parts & manage their own workload.
Requirements for this role:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician or in a similar role is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of automotive systems from all makes, we mainly deal in German & performance vehicles.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent problem solving skills and ability to diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently.
- Preferably to provide their own tools.
- Full & Clean UK Driving License.
- Own transport is essential.
This role is currently based in Hinckley/Nuneaton, this is subject to change in the immediate local area as the business looks to expand.
Salary is subject to experience
Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm
1 Hour Scheduled Break
40 Hours Per Week
Weekends & Bank Holidays off
Potential for Overtime

Pay: £32,000.00-£42,500.00 per year
