We’re partnering with a well-established transport operation in Dover who are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who can drive efficiency, ensure compliance, and manage a busy fleet.
The Role:
As Transport Manager, you will oversee day-to-day transport operations, manage drivers and staff, and ensure vehicles and routes run efficiently. You will also be responsible for maintaining compliance with transport regulations and delivering high levels of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and motivate a team of drivers and transport staff.
Oversee fleet operations, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient route planning.
Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, including CPC requirements and O Licence regulations.
Monitor and improve KPIs related to cost, performance, and safety.
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain smooth operations.
What We’re Looking For:
Proven experience as a Transport Manager or similar role.
CPC qualification is essential.
Previous experience managing operations under an O Licence is required.
Strong leadership and organisational skills.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Experience in route planning, fleet management, and transport compliance.
