About The Role
We are looking for an experienced, dedicated and passionate ESOL tutor who will further develop our ESOL provision, working with learners to ensure they achieve their best potential.
You will deliver the ESOL curriculum at North Notts College to fulfil the required Adult Education Budget planned provision.
You’ll prepare students for higher levels of study (including Higher Education) and for the world of work, developing specific vocational work and employability skills through the curriculum, and by using external/internal links.
You Will…
* Hold a relevant teaching qualification (Level 5 or above) or be working towards one
* Hold an appropriate level professional qualification in a relevant subject specialism
* Have a Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in English and Maths, or be willing to undertake one
* Be able to teach basic maths at pre-entry or entry 1 level
* Have experience of teaching/training adults in a relevant area
* Be well organised and able to manage your own workload
* Be an excellent communicator to effectively liaise with learners, employers and college colleagues to ensure that the students on your programmes successfully progress

Department Info
You will report directly to the Adult Community & Learning Manager and regularly report on your objectives to the Curriculum Team Leader regarding a range of KPIs including student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
You will be part of a Curriculum and Department team and work with other teaching staff to develop and share best practice in the area.
You may be required to participate in cross-college teams or working groups on key projects.
