Our client on the outskirts of Cardiff, an established and well respected organisation, is recruiting for a proactive Assistant Accountant to join them on a permanent basis.
You'll work closely with the Financial Reporting Manager to deliver accurate internal management accounts and statutory reports - ensuring we stay profitable, compliant, and ready for the next big move.
We're looking for someone who is enthusiastic and self-motivated. You'll communicate well with people across all levels and bring a commercial mindset to your work. You'll be eager to learn and develop - and our client will support you every step of the way (including study support if you're working toward further qualifications).
What you'll be doing:
Keeping accruals, prepayments, fixed assets, and hardware stock schedules up to date for monthly accounts
Owning project analysis and customer maintenance revenue schedules
Preparing CIS retained tax calculations and reconciliations
Managing Concur expense month-end processing and reporting
Posting payroll-related journals and analysing key financial KPIs
Supporting the year-end audit and assisting with any queries
Pitching in to support team members when neededWhat you'll bring:
AAT qualified (or equivalent experience in a similar role)
Confident with Excel and comfortable analysing and presenting data
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
A logical, proactive, and adaptable mindset - you enjoy improving processes
Microsoft Dynamics Business Central experience is a plus, but not essentialSalary & Benefits:
Salary will be circa £30,000 per annum, plus full company benefits including:
