Job Summary
Applications are invited to join the MLTC team as a Band 5 Care Group Support Officer within Emergency and Acute Care. This role offers a variety of responsibilities across service management, demand and capacity planning, communication networking, patient pathway management, procedural management, and staff management. You will work closely with the Care Group management team, supporting them to meet service demands and to interface effectively with all clinical and non‑clinical personnel.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the Care Group Management by inputting and extracting data from multiple sources to develop dashboards, reports and updates.
* Liaise with clinicians to ensure continuity of service and the implementation of local, trust‑wide and national protocols and procedures.
* Assist the Care Group Management team in the development of service reviews and subsequent redesign.
* Manage the Administration Team within Emergency and Acute Care.

Job Description
The role supports the Care Group Management team in delivering and managing all patients within the Emergency and Urgent Care Pathway. Your duties include ensuring adherence to local and national targets, managing quality indicators, and supervising the Administrative Team. You will work collaboratively across all levels of staff to meet deadlines and support process improvement within the care group pathways.
Person Specification
Essential Qualifications
* NVQ Level 4 in Business Administration or equivalent experience.
* Qualification in IT packages, ECDL, or equivalent.
Skills
* Ability to work using one's own initiative.
* Effective teamwork and communication skills.
* Strong decision‑making, time‑management and written communication.
Knowledge
* Basic awareness of NHS policy relating to Emergency Care Pathways.
* Self‑awareness of strengths, weaknesses and areas for development.
* Positive, caring attitude with respect for others.
