Accountant
Location: Remote (applicants must be based in South Wales)
Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 FTE (pro rata)
Hours: 2 days per week (flexible working pattern)

We are looking for a skilled and reliable accountant to support the financial operations.
The Role
We are seeking a part-time Charity Accountant to take ownership of our financial management and reporting. This is a fully remote role, but you must be based in South Wales to maintain an understanding of the local context and attend occasional in-person meetings if required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping
2. Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
3. Oversee budgets and provide financial insights to support decision-making
4. Manage payroll, VAT returns, and statutory submissions
5. Support annual audits and liaise with external auditors
6. Ensure compliance with charity and financial regulations
7. Assist with funding reports and grant tracking
8. Support the transition from QuickBooks to Xero, including data migration and system setup
About You
9. Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or qualified by experience
10. Experience working in the charity or non-profit sector (desirable)
11. Strong knowledge of accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and Xero (experience with system migrations is highly desirable)
12. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
13. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
14. Strong communication skills, able to explain financial information clearly
