The Opportunity As the Farm Manager at Mayfield Dairy, you will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of a 382-hectare dairy farm, comprising 313 irrigated hectares and 69 dry ground hectares.
You will be supported by a Business Manager who will assist you in financial reporting, planning, and pasture management. Additionally, you will have access to Pāmu’s network of specialist teams for operational and technical support.
This role is hands-on, requiring active involvement in all aspects of farm operations, including people leadership, pasture management, animal health, and compliance. You will lead by example to ensure the farm operates efficiently, safely, and sustainably.
Familiarity with farm management tools such as Farmax and FarmIQ is advantageous.
The Farm Mayfield Dairy is located just 15 minutes from Ashburton and is a well-established, high-performing property.
The farm milks 1,020 peak cows via a 60-bail rotary with ACRs, Milkhub, and an in-shed feeding system.
The team works on a 6 and 2 roster and values a positive, team-oriented environment.

You will also have:
