Here at Americold Whitchurch we are now recruiting for a Transport Resource Planner. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Transport Planner to oversee the efficient allocation and utilization of fleet and driver resources. This role is critical in ensuring that all vehicles are deployed effectively and that no job on the transport system is left unplanned.
The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and managing resource availability, developing profitable and achievable transport plans in compliance with Transport Legislation, EU Regulations, and the Working Time Directive. They will lead the planning and resourcing of all weekend activities and ensure drivers are accurately briefed on their daily assignments.
Responsibilities
* Identify and assign vehicles with back-loading opportunities
* Maintain and update all relevant transport systems
* Collaborate with the UK Transport Planner and UK Subcontractor to assess and coordinate outsourcing needs
* Monitor and achieve set KPIs; drive continuous improvement initiatives with the Planning Manager
* Ensure clear and effective communication across internal teams and external partners
* Provide coverage across different areas of the department as needed
Working Pattern
Monday to Friday, 8am – 5:30pm
1 in 4 weekends (one day of the weekend)
On Call – 1 in 4 weeks on call
