We are looking for a Supplier Manager to join our community of tech experts in DWP Digital. We\'re driving a once-in-a-generation transformation of government services. We are building and maintaining innovative, scalable and user-centric digital solutions that will be used by millions of people in the UK.
Responsibilities
* Manage supplier relationships from procurement through to performance to ensure contracts deliver value and meet business needs.
* Work with Commercial Leads and stakeholders to interpret financial data, resolve queries, and support service transformation.
* Capture supplier requirements (technical and non-technical) and ensure alignment with internal governance and affordability.
* Own cost models for your portfolio, track spend against contracts, and support procurement planning and strategy.
* Build strong relationships with internal teams and external suppliers, acting as a key point of contact and escalation.
* Drive performance improvements, manage renewals, and ensure supplier arrangements support high-quality, user-focused services.
Qualifications
* Supplier Engagement & Commercial Collaboration: experience gathering requirements and working with Commercial teams to place contracts using appropriate frameworks, with value for money in mind.
* Stakeholder Relationships: ability to build trusted relationships with colleagues, senior managers, and stakeholders, maintaining open and collaborative communication.
* Financial Management: confident with financial data, forecasting spend, and tracking against budget.
* Delivery Under Pressure: experience delivering work to tight deadlines in fast-paced environments.
* Communication & Negotiation: strong communication and engagement skills with the ability to negotiate outcomes that work for the business and the department.
Location & Benefits
You\'ll join us in one of our digital hubs in Birmingham, Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle-upon-Tyne or Sheffield. We operate a hybrid model with about 40% in the office and 60% working from home.
