Salary: £38,000.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only

About The Role
As a SENCo, you will collaborate with the Headteacher and therapy team to develop the SEND policy. You will provide guidance to colleagues, liaise with staff, parents, and agencies to support pupils with SEN, and advise on graduated approaches, support, and differentiated teaching methods. Supporting pupils with complex needs and contributing to their progress will be a key aspect of your role.
Who We Are Looking For
We seek an outstanding, innovative, and determined SENCo to lead the strategic development of SEN provision. You should demonstrate excellent management and organizational skills, support team collaboration, and be committed to equality and accountability.
Main Responsibilities
1. Ensure statutory responsibilities regarding students with an EHCP are met.
2. Chair or oversee EHCP review meetings.
3. Fulfill statutory duties under the SEND Code of Practice.
4. Implement and maintain the SEN policy according to current regulations.
5. Support staff in completing PEPs.
6. Coordinate with the Clinical Lead to ensure appropriate clinical provisions.
7. Manage EHCP review invitations and paperwork.
8. Monitor progress towards EHCP outcomes.
9. Oversee and monitor the quality of EHCPs and support plans.
