Senior / Principal Environmental Advisor – Stantec (UK)
Stantec’s Environmental Team is seeking a driven Senior or Principal Environmental Advisor/Scientist to support the delivery of client and project environmental objectives across the UK. The role offers part‑time flexibility for the right candidate and provides ample scope for career progression.
Overview
As a member of the Environmental Team you will collaborate with water clients to develop innovative, sustainable and efficient solutions. You will advise on environmental and sustainability issues, conduct environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, and environmental management studies and audits.
Responsibilities
* Assist the EIA and environmental management teams by conducting environmental planning reports, EIA screening and scoping, and environmental management studies and audits.
* Advising clients on environmental and sustainability issues, including routes to consent and critical environmental risks.
* Analyzing and presenting data using a GIS platform.
* Supporting project delivery through robust environmental planning and advice.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Science, or Environmental Planning accredited by the relevant professional body (CIWEM, IEMA, or RTPI).
* Chartered status or seeking to apply within the next 6 months.
* Client‑focused Environmental Advisor experience, including robust advice on routes to consent, EIA, environmental management studies, and audits.
* Experience analysing and presenting data using a GIS platform.
* General knowledge of ecology, flood risk, town planning, and water resources is beneficial.
