The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the departments within the Rehabilitation Services.
To work as part of a team and to carry out administrative duties on a day to day basis. This may include covering essential and appropriate operational duties in the absence of colleagues.
Main duties of the job
* Prepare referrals information in readiness for referral meetings – including collation of clinical records, referrals, completion of agreed forms, etc.
* Deal with telephone enquiries/queries received into the service, ensuring any messages are communicated timely and accurately.
* Provide administrative support to the patient pathway process, ensuring information is recorded timely and accurately onto identified information systems and any delays to the patient are escalated to the appropriate staff.
This will include:
* Registering new patients and recording referrals.
* Recording documented patient conditions/diagnosis.
* Recording activity and appointment outcomes including discharges, Did Not Attends (DNAs), patient arrival/departure times, etc.
* Printing and distributing appointment lists, transport lists, etc.
* Updating patient demographics (address, GP, contact details, etc.).
* Raising and completing equipment orders.

Person specification
Qualifications
* GCSE level 4 or equivalent in Maths and English
Experience
* Experience of using word processing packages
* Experience in a similar administrative role
* Experience of working within the NHS
Skills/knowledge
* Knowledge of patient information systems and databases
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
* Knowledge of RIO
