Corporate Health & Safety Manager
Location: Exeter
Salary: £25.54 an hour
Contract: Until 17th of April 2026
Monday to Friday – 9am till 5pm

We're looking for an experienced health and safety professional to join our team as the designated competent person for occupational health and safety matters. This is a strategic leadership role where you'll shape policy, drive cultural change, and ensure compliance across all services.
What you'll do
* Provide expert advice to senior leadership on health and safety legislation and best practice.
* Develop and deliver the company–wide health and safety strategy, policies, and annual plans.
* Lead initiatives that promote staff well being and influence future workplace design.
* Oversee audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations to ensure continuous improvement.
* Design and deliver training programmes to build competence and confidence across the organisation.
* Act as the company representative with regulatory bodies and external partners.
What we're looking for
* Proven experience in a senior health and safety role, ideally within a complex organisation.
* Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and compliance requirements.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent understanding of occupational H&S, risk management and audit processes.
* Occupational safety and health qualification equivalent to EQF level 6 (e.g., Degree, NEBOSH/NCRQ Diploma, NVQ/SVQ Level 6) and/or 3 years’ relevant experience.
