The role
Herefordshire Community Wellbeing Directorate is a welcoming and supportive place to work. We are seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, professionally confident Social Workers who enjoy fast-paced work and have experience working with adults with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health needs, and older adults.
This role includes a variety of adult social work tasks, such as Care Act Assessments, support planning using a Strength-Based approach, CHC and s117 work, Section 42 Enquiries, Mental Capacity Assessments, and Community DoLS.
Regular supervision and opportunities for professional growth and development, including exploring specialist practice, are provided.
About You
As a Social Worker, you will:
* Be registered as a social worker with Social Work England.
* Hold a Degree, Diploma, C.S.S, or C.Q.S.W in Social Work practice.
* Be aware of current legislation and guidance affecting adult social care.
* Have knowledge of person-centered, strengths-based, outcome-focused assessment, care management, and review.
* Be capable of undertaking Safeguarding Enquiries, with appropriate training and experience.
* Have the qualification or potential to undertake courses in Practice Education, Best Interest Assessment, and/or Approved Mental Health Professional.
* Experience working in partnership with other agencies to ensure safety and support independence.
