Contract DevOps / Production Engineer (Python / AWS) - Capital Markets
Ocho is partnering exclusively with a high-growth, fully remote fintech client to hire a Contract DevOps / Production Engineer. This is a long-term engagement supporting trading infrastructure, client integrations, and platform tooling within a globally distributed team.
This role blends DevOps, production support, and engineering - ideal for someone who enjoys building systems while staying close to live environments and client-facing problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and enhance internal DevOps tooling (Python-based monitoring & automation)
* Support and maintain trading systems and client integrations
* Work across AWS infrastructure (EC2, IAM, scaling, storage)
* Improve observability using tools like Prometheus and monitoring frameworks
* Troubleshoot production issues across client environments
* Collaborate with US-based DevOps and global engineering teams
* Contribute to automation of support and operational processes
Person We Are Looking For
* Strong Python skills (essential)
* Solid AWS experience (IAM, EC2, scaling, infrastructure concepts)
* Experience in DevOps / Platform / Production Engineering environments
* Exposure to Capital Markets or trading systems (desirable, not essential)
* Comfortable working in Linux environments
* Experience supporting live systems / debugging issues
* Strong communicator, able to work with clients and internal teams
* Pragmatic engineer who can operate across Dev + Ops + Support
