We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our Acute Children’s Services team, helping us deliver outstanding care and exceptional service to our patients and their families.
In this role, you will take blood samples from children and young people aged 0–16 years across a variety of settings, including the Children’s Emergency Department, Children’s Assessment Unit, inpatient wards, ambulatory care, and outpatient clinics.
We welcome applications from both experienced Phlebotomists and those new to the role who demonstrate the right personal qualities and enthusiasm for working with children — full training will be provided.

Main duties of the job
Taking blood samples from patients in accordance with paediatric guidelines.
To take an MDT approach and working with the families to ensure the best outcome and experience for all our CYP.
Ensuring samples are packaged correctly to reach the correct laboratory.
Ensuring safe practice for your patients and yourself.
