Richmond Academy are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and hardworking Teaching Assistant to support children alongside the Teacher and the SENDCo. Our and are regularly updated and will give you an excellent idea of what life is like at Richmond everyday.

The ideal candidates will be hard-working, flexible and adaptable with good literacy and numeracy skills. Previous experience of working with children with educational needs is desirable but above all, we would like someone with a calm and positive approach to work with children at varying levels including those with special educational needs. We are fully committed to ensuring that all pupils within our schools are integrated as fully as possible and that they all feel as highly valued as each other.

This can be a challenging position, but equally very rewarding. The successful applicant will be joining a well-established and forward-thinking team of professionals, supported by the wider Trust

We are looking for Teaching Assistants who:

1. Recognise that our current education system needs to radically change to better prepare our young people for the 21st century
2. Are able to take advantage of the latest technology to support modern, 21st century learning
3. Want to develop their own practice to meet the needs of an evolving school system
4. Want to develop children as life-long, curious learners
5. Want to build strong relationships with children that facilitate their learning
6. Want to teach in enabling environments that promote flexibility, collaboration and independence

This role is:

7. Monday to Friday - term-time only
8. Hours 8.45am to 3.30pm
9. Pro rata'd salary on KSA will be approximately £16,880 gross
10. An extra day's leave after 2 years service
