We are looking for a strong, experienced Restaurant Manager to join our award winning team at The Farmers Arms in Woolsery, North Devon. We have just been named the 2025 Best Pub by the Visit England Awards and are MICHELIN recommended.
Our food ethos is a hyper-local British flavour profile, focusing on what is supplied from our own 150 acre farm, including our own produce, orchards and rare-heritage breed pigs and sheep. We are truly farm to table and take pride in the natural farming techniques that support biodiversity and the best animal rearing practices.
Our menu is all fresh and made in house, along with our sustainable drinks program of seasonal cocktails and local ales. Our Sunday menu is a three course family sharing concept.
The historic pub has recently undergone extensive renovations and we strive to give comfortable, warm service in a beautiful environment. Our hotel, The Collective at Woolsery, is a One MICHELIN Key rated property and guests expect the highest level of service and food knowledge, so we are looking for someone as passionate as we are to lead the team.
The role will require the following;
Flexibility with hours, to cover lunch and dinner service, including weekends
Creating, and supervising the adherence to, standard operating procedures and company policies.
Ability to cover in all positions; server, bartender, food runner
Ability to lead a team, with clear communication and excellent attitude
Strong administration skills and the ability to work with our reservations, wage tracking and stock programs.
Experience managing a team, including recruitment, training, appraisals and disciplinaries
You need to have an absolute passion for hospitality, food and customer service. Wine and drinks knowledge is a big plus.
48 hour per week contract, salaried position.
Two or more years in a comparable role and environment will be required.

Transitional and staff housing available. We are located in a rural village in North Devon, so must be willing to relocate. Having your own transportation recommended.
