Position: Operations Manager
Location: Reading with travel to provisions
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
About the Role
As Operations Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in the day-to-day running of children’s residential care, supported accommodation and family services. Working closely with the CEO, you’ll lead and support a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, person-centred care that meets regulatory standards and delivers meaningful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading service development and driving continuous improvement.
Managing and supporting staff recruitment, rotas, supervision, and performance.
Overseeing service delivery to ensure safety, quality, and compliance with Ofsted, Children’s Homes Regulations and Supported Accommodation Regulations.
Building and maintaining effective partnerships with local authorities and external stakeholders.
Leading risk management processes and incident response.
Monitoring service outcomes and contributing to strategic planning through reports and evaluations.

About You
You will be an experienced leader in children’s social care with a deep understanding of relevant UK regulations and safeguarding requirements.
Skilled in managing teams and supporting professional development in a fast-paced, responsive environment.
A strong communicator, capable of working collaboratively with internal teams and external partners.
Strategic and analytical, with a passion for service improvement and accountability.
Committed to equality, inclusion and the rights of young people.
Essential: You must either be a registered Ofsted inspector or eligible for Ofsted and CQC registration.
You will also need to meet enhanced DBS requirements, hold a full UK driving licence, and have the right to work in the UK.
