Overview
Senior Quantity Surveyor (HPC) role at Severfield. Opportunity for on-site work on a hybrid basis for the Hinkley Point C project.
Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division focuses on highly regulated sectors including nuclear, transport, process industries, and power. We provide award-winning design teams, using state-of-the-art software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer value engineering and a quality, specialised service.
Responsibilities
* Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
* Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
* Managing variations and changes with customers
* Working as part of an experienced commercial team
* Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
* Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
Key Skills & Experience (Qualifications)
* Previous experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, ideally with Nuclear or construction industry experience in a commercial role
* Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
* Good communication skills with the ability to influence
* Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
* An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
