Exciting Opportunity for an Outreach Non-Medical Prescriber
We're thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for an Outreach Non-Medical Prescriber to join our dedicated team in Stevenage. Our team consists of a diverse group of professionals, including experienced Managers, committed Specialist Doctors, empathetic Nurses, dedicated Recovery Staff, outstanding Peer Mentors, and incredible Volunteers.

Location: Stevenage
Full Time Hours: 22.5 hours per week
Full Time Salary Range: £47,792.23 - £53,329.99
Contract Type: Fixed term until 31st March 2026
*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.
Responsibilities
The Role:
Under the guidance of the NMP Lead, Assistant Medical Director, and the Service’s Medical Lead, you'll play a pivotal role as part of a diverse team delivering clinical recovery-oriented alcohol and drug intervention services.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Working peripatetically, including community settings and partnership hubs.
* Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatment/interventions and care for those accessing clinical treatment.
* Clinically assessing service users' needs and planning clinical care accordingly.
* Identifying and assessing suitability for in-patient alcohol and opioid detoxification as appropriate.
* Proactively reviewing and managing clinical treatment plans of service users.
* Initiating and adjusting prescriptions for opiate and/or alcohol substitute treatments and other related medications.
* Leading the development of the prescribing clinic and serving as a point of contact for colleagues and partner agencies on prescribing matters.
About You:
* A qualified Pharmacist with current GPhC registration and at least two years' post-qualification experience OR a first-level registered nurse with a current PIN AND three years post-qualification experience.
* A qualified Non-Medical Prescriber.
* At least one year's relevant and recent experience in substance misuse treatment.
* Sound knowledge of clinical prescribing issues.
