We are looking for a skilled Fluid Dynamics CFD Engineer to join our Turbine Engineering function in Lincoln, UK. Siemens Energy operates a "Better Together" hybrid working model of typically three days of in-person attendance per week to ensure effective collaboration with colleagues while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.
How You'll Make an Impact
1. Interface with Mechanical Design and Mechanical Integrity disciplines to collectively derive component life, including duty-based lifing.
2. Create, adapt, and analyse turbomachinery air systems to determine temperature, pressure, and flow characteristics under various operating and environmental conditions.
3. Conduct root cause analysis, weighted decision analysis, and design of experiments.
4. Specify component and engine test requirements.
5. Calibrate analytical models using engine test data and fleet experience.
6. Provide production support through the processing of component and engine test readings.
7. Disseminate findings through reports and presentations.
8. Improve delivery by integrating toolchains and other process enhancements.
9. Produce and maintain method documents.
10. Test and validate internal and commercial code upgrades.
