Background to the Role
Due to our ongoing success, HCI Systems seeks to recruit a Business Development Representative to join the management team and support our growth strategies.
The successful candidate will support the business development and marketing functions, liaise with relevant departments, and collaborate with current and potential customers.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Proactively reach out to prospects through various channels, introducing HCI to new customers and projects.
* Forecast sales opportunities accurately and track them in the sales pipeline, working with project owners and internal teams to convert leads into sales.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to maximize sales opportunities.
* Serve as the point of contact for key accounts, addressing inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
* Manage the sales process from initial contact to order, ensuring smooth handover and ongoing support.
* Review and agree on terms and conditions with internal teams and customers.
* Align future opportunities with business goals.
* Provide regular data analysis and reports to stakeholders on progress and KPIs.
* Leverage memberships and opportunities such as MAKE UK Defence, MIA, and local business events.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related fields; technical degree or equivalent experience preferred.
* Experience in business development, sales, or marketing within relevant industries, especially automotive, motorsport, or high-performance vehicles.
* Strong technical understanding of electrical systems and wiring harnesses preferred.
* Ability to manage complex sales processes and work effectively across teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with customers at all levels.
Strategic thinking with data analysis skills to identify trends and develop insights.
