Responsibilities
* Perform manual or exploratory testing as required, to identify defects and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
* Document defects, collaborate with development teams for resolutions, and advocate for continuous product improvement.
* Validate and scrutinise requirements to identify potential gaps, edge cases and level of testability of proposed solutions.
* Ability to work with or previous experience of Content Management System (CMS).
* Create supporting test documentation for a project with support from others - e.g. Test Plans, Test Summary Reports etc.
* Contribute to the planning and prioritisation of testing on a project.
* Can estimate testing tasks within a project.
* Proficiency in assessing and highlighting risk in order to mitigate issues.
* Ownership of QA processes and best practice.
Outside IR35
Day rate: £250 - £350 per day
Requirements
Expert knowledge in
* Ability to quickly understand a digital product, its features and functionality.
* Developing and executing test scenarios for web or mobile applications.
* Understanding and analysing requirements.
* Defect diagnosis, reporting and tracking.
* Maintaining knowledge of core systems and processes.
* Industry standard testing process and best practices, with ISTQB foundation certification.
Competent with
* Software testing techniques, testing tools, incident/defect tracking systems and other test-support tools.
* Development methodologies such as Agile / Waterfall.
* API understanding, and experience with tools such as Charles Proxy and Postman.
* UI automated testing tools (e.g. Cypress, Maestro).
* JIRA / Confluence.
