Hays Technology are working in partnership with a not-for-profit educational organisation to recruit a Senior Technical Product Manager on a permanent basis.
As a Technical Product Manager, you will be delivery focused and serve as the bridge between business strategy, user needs, and technical development, translating vision into executable roadmaps and leading the team to deliver products people love that drive business value.
The Technical Product Manager will have the opportunity to solve meaningful problems at scale and work at the frontier of AI development that will fundamentally transform the nature of the organisation.
You will lead a team of 2-3 but also coach and mentor other Product Managers across the AI centre of excellence programme (team of 32 in total).
Main responsibilities:
1. Own theplete product lifecycle from concept through launch, growth, maturity, and eventual evolution or retirement
2. Partner with designers and engineers to run discovery to understand (internal) customer needs and design solutions to meet these
3. Define the product vision, clear product oues and success metrics aligned with business objectives across a portfolio of accelerator assets used by various AI pods
4. Create andmunicatepelling product strategy and roadmaps to executives and cross-functional teams
5. Manage the prioritisation of the technical backlog and work with the tech lead to lead the technical team to deliver against the product roadmap.
6. Own the release strategy and change management plan to get to adoption (working with change management resources).
7. Monitor product performance post-launch and drive continuous improvement based on user feedback and data
8. Manage feature deprecation and end-of-life strategies when appropriate
9. Balance customer needs with business goals throughout the product lifecycle
10. Coach and mentor other Product Managers across the organisation
11. Review and influence product roadmaps across the various AI Pods (collaboratively with their respective Product Managers) to identify synergies, areas requiring CoE support, opportunities to standardise our approach and opportunities to accelerate value delivery.
In order to apply for the role, you must have the following skills and experience:
12. Significant product management experience with proven success leading/coaching other team members
13. Strong discovery skills: customer interviews, prototype testing, data analysis
14. Experience working in cross-functional product teams
15. Natural curiosity and passion for understanding customer problems and building elegant solutions (particularly for technical end users)
16. Significant technical aptitude and experience to collaborate effectively with engineering
17. An awareness of and experience with AI technologies
18. Excellentmunication and storytelling skills, with ability to articulateplex concepts clearly
19. Data-driven decision-making approach
20. Strong management and leadership skills to lead a cross functional team delivering at pace
21. Strategic thinking and the ability to map technical work to strategic business priorities
