About Our Client
The client is a well established property and construction business based in Cumbria. After a period of growth, they are looking to improve on what they have build and drive efficiencies to build on this further. They have a small finance team in post currently and are looking for someone to come and take a lead on the operational finance function.
Job Description
* Monthly preparation of consolidated accounts
* Preparation of year-end financial statements for each group company
* Management and leadership of the audit process
* Company Secretarial duties for all group companies
* Ensuring compliance with VAT and CIS schemes, submitting returns as necessary
* Liaison with HMRC, external auditors, joint venture partners and other third parties as required regarding statutory compliance matters.
* Lead the delivery of key deadlines across the department with focus on accuracy and timely outputs
* Ensure that outputs and work standards meet the expectations of all stakeholders
* Identifying opportunities to continually improve the information provided to the wider business
The Successful Applicant
The successful candidate will be Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or qualified by experience. You will be able to pick up a management accounting role and be fairly autonomous. You will be a part of a small team and be taking a lead on the operational side of finance. You will also be provided with the opportunity to drive process improvements and translate findings to non-finance personnel.
