Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant Mainstream Primary School | Tunbridge Wells Full-Time, Long-Term | Immediate Start Salary: Up to £600 per week Are you a Psychology graduate eager to gain hands-on experience supporting children with additional needs in a primary school setting? At KPI Education, we are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Tunbridge Wells to recruit a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant. This full-time, long-term opportunity is ideal for graduates looking to build practical experience ahead of a career in educational psychology, SEN teaching, or child-focused support roles. The Role As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with a range of additional needs within a nurturing primary classroom environment. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting children with needs such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Delivering tailored one-to-one and small group interventions to support learning and development. Working closely with the SENCO, class teachers, and external specialists. Assisting in the implementation of EHCPs and personalised support strategies. Encouraging pupils’ confidence, independence, and engagement in learning. Helping to create a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment. This role offers valuable insight into how SEN provision operates within a mainstream primary school, making it an excellent stepping stone towards further study or training in psychology or education. Person Specification KPI Education is looking for graduates who: Have achieved (or are predicted) a 2:1 or above in Psychology or a related discipline. Have a genuine interest in supporting young children with additional needs. Are patient, empathetic, and resilient in their approach. Possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.
