Company Description
GXO Logistics Supply Chain Inc. and B&Q are seeking a Drivers Mate to join the Store to Home team in Croydon (CR0 4YA).
Job Details
Youll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, following a two-week rotating shift pattern: Week 1 Monday to Friday / Week 2 Tuesday to Saturday, with a start time of 08:00. The role is contracted to 40 hours per week.

What Youll Do On a Typical Day
* Work as part of a two-person team delivering products to customer premises (room of choice) on a multidrop basis (average 16 drops per day off peak, 24 drops per day in peak season)
* Assist the delivery driver with parking, manoeuvring, loading and unloading as required
* Provide effective customer service while ensuring goods are delivered in excellent condition
* Keep customers informed of estimated delivery times and any issues in a polite and courteous manner
What You Need To Succeed At GXO
* Experience with multi-drop home delivery is preferred but not essential
* Excellent customer service skills (written and verbal)
* Willingness to undertake manual handling tasks (pulling, lifting, pushing)
* Can-do attitude and problem-solving skills
* Willingness to undertake pre-employment DBS check
* Be prepared to commute to Croydon (CR0 4YA) for the required shift pattern
