Service Advisor
1. Working Hours: 42 hours per week
2. Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 6:00pm
3. Saturday (rota): 8:00am – 1:00pm
4. Salary: £32,000 OTE (Basic £26,000 – £28,000 + £6,000 Uncapped Bonus)
About the Role We are currently seeking an enthusiastic, customer-centric Service Advisor to join our client's successful Aftersales department based in Stockport. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a premium automotive brand and a highly regarded national dealer group. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the motor trade and delivering exceptional customer service.
You’ll be the first point of contact for customers booking MOTs, services, and repairs. You’ll use your expertise to guide customers through the service process and ensure their experience is seamless, informed, and professional. Key Responsibilities for a Service Advisor
5. Act as the main liaison between the customer and workshop team
6. Book vehicle servicing, MOTs, and repairs via phone, email and in person
7. Provide accurate technical advice and support around warranty cover and service packages
8. Upsell additional services, parts, and accessories that would benefit the customer
9. Liaise with technicians and workshop staff to schedule jobs based on capacity
10. Keep customers informed about repair timelines and any changes to their booking
11. Manage a high volume of customer interactions daily across various channels
12. Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records in internal systems
13. Handle follow-up calls and ensure post-service satisfaction
14. Work collaboratively within the Aftersales team to meet targets and deliver a first-class customer experience
Requirements for a Service Advisor
15. Previous experience as a Service Advisor or similar customer-facing automotive role
16. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
17. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply to customers
18. Strong organisation and time management abilities
19. Confident in handling a fast-paced and varied workload
20. A team player with the ability to work independently
21. Knowledge of Kerridge / ADP systems is advantageous
22. Passion for customer service and a genuine interest in the motor industry
