Community Sauna is a not-for-profit network of sauna & cold plunge bath sites across London. Our mission is to make sauna and cold plunge affordable and accessible to everyone. We run free and discounted sessions, host community events, and welcome people from all walks of life. Inclusivity, accessibility, affordability, and local connection are central to everything we do.
The role
* Oversee opening, closing, and operational procedures for sauna, cold plunge, showers, changing areas, gardens, etc.
* Ensure health & safety compliance, cleanliness, maintenance, and equipment safety.
* Supervise a small team of attendants; assist with rota planning, training, support and scheduling.
* Provide excellent customer service: greet guests, explain rules, assist with their needs remembering our values of kindness and inclusion.
* Monitor and maintain water temperature, humidity, ventilation, etc.
* Handle incidents or complaints, escalating if needed.
* Ensure supplies (towels, toiletries, cleaning materials) are stocked.
About You
* Experience in supervising or managing a team in customer-facing or hospitality/wellness facility is preferred.
* Strong commitment to values of inclusion, community, accessibility.
* Good understanding of health & safety practices, ideally with relevant certifications (e.g. first aid, COSHH, etc.).
* Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
* Ability to stay calm under pressure, manage conflicts or emergencies.
* Passion for wellness, sauna / cold plunge culture or related fields is a plus.
