At Babcock we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Production Engineer at our Rosyth site.
The Role
As a Production Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll provide technical production engineering support on a high value and prestigious project.
Day-to-day, you’ll support the manufacturing process covering areas such as assembly, CNC machining, fabrication and welding process support.
Responsibilities
* Liaise with other functions to analyse, plan and implement solutions
* Determine and develop the necessary process specifications
* Use lean manufacturing tools and techniques
* Develop and implement production performance metrics
* Assist with project plans and budget reporting when required
Experience Required
* Knowledge and understanding of production techniques
* Ability to identify and develop production engineering procedures
* Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles
* Background in a manufacturing environment preferred
* Understanding of the MRP process
Qualifications
* HNC / HND Level qualified in relevant engineering subject
* Formal training in Lean is advantageous but not essential
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
