Job Summary
Lazaat Hotel is located to the west of Hull and close to the town of Beverley.
We have recently expanded our Hotel and are now transitioning to a busy 43 bedroom hotel offering good quality food & beverage as well as excellent bedroom, conference, wedding and event facilities (3 conference & event rooms).
We are seeking to recruit a full time permanent Head Housekeeper to join our team.
As the leader of our housekeeping team, it's not just about ensuring that the cleaning and preparation of our rooms and public areas exceeds our guest's expectations, but also managing the business element of the housekeeping division.
As Head Housekeeper your duties will include:
* Ensuring high levels of cleanliness are maintained at all times
* Deliver efficient and courteous service to guests
* Maintain stock control
* Deal with suppliers of linen, cleaning materials and guest supplies
* Liaise with maintenance and carry out regular room checks to ensure good order throughout the hotel
* Prepare the staff schedules
* Ensure training and development of all team members is carried out in your areas of responsibility
* Log and track of lost property and return
* Assist with the Management team the departmental development through the sharing of ideas and plans that will improve standards, working conditions and control systems
Requirements:
* Ideally 1 year minimum experience in a Managerial/Supervisory experience
* Excellent leadership, organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work under pressure and be self-motivated and driven
* To project a pleasant and positive professional image to all contacts at all times
* Ability to effectively communicate at different organisational levels
* Must show a great deal of flexibility in work load and hours
This is a full time position with flexibility required for weekend and shift working.
