We are looking to appoint 1 x freelance facilitator at the Royal Albert Memorial Museum & Art Gallery (RAMM), Exeter, Devon, UK.
RAMM is looking to appoint 1 x freelance facilitator who will collaboratively lead the school KS2 pupils and teachers through the four activities of their Time Odyssey visit to the museum with the assistance of museum learning volunteers.
You will join a team of 3 existing freelance facilitators, who jointly share the tasks and responsibilities with you. Generally, two facilitators are on duty for each school visit assisted by 3 to 6 volunteers that you would jointly supervise.
There is no resource development required for this role, but you will be expected to ensure that there is a plentiful supply of the pre-developed materials available and the Samsung tablets that the children are using are charged.
This is an in-person opportunity at RAMM in Exeter only. There is no opportunity for remote working.
About
Through the course of their adventure at RAMM, students will meet characters and tackle challenges with them to explore objects and collections from across the world – realised through augmented reality technology on tablets.
The students will learn about core themes including Shaping our World, Cultural Connections, Communication, and the Environment, all with History curriculum skills built in. Each activity involves working together, developing key skills and, importantly, having fun
A small team of volunteers assist the RAMM Time Odyssey facilitators, the teachers, and the children during their visit.
