Welder Fabricator (with good work life balance)
EDONI REFRIGERATION LIMITED is a small family owned Glasgow-based company situated at 100 Strathmore Road, Balmore Industrial Estate, United Kingdom. The company is committed to manufacturing high-quality, reliable commercial ice‑cream making machines and has been doing so for three generations.
An excellent opportunity for an experienced Fabricator/Welder to join our small team and use their skills to push our production forward. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with a focus on quality and precision. This role involves working with various materials, including sheet metal, and utilising both hand and power tools to create high-quality components for our projects. The job is interesting and varied, the team are friendly and we offer a good life work balance.
Responsibilities
* Manufacture of machine parts using the following processes bending, forming, rolling and tapping
* Utilise hand tools and power tools for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal parts
* Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into final products
* Perform TIG welding and stick welding techniques to fabricate bespoke components for our machines
* Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication
* Conduct quality checks on finished products to maintain high standards of workmanship
* Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively
* Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
Skills and Experience
* Proven experience in TIG and stick welding is essential
* Skilled in fabrication processes and techniques (including bending, forming, rolling and tapping)
* Experience with hand tools and power tools commonly used in welding and fabrication
* Proficient in using basic math skills for measurements and calculations
* Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team, demonstrating good communication skills
* Ability to problem solve and use initiative
* Ability to work to high quality standards

From £18.00 per hour (depending on experience)
