ARCA Resourcing is proud to partner with an innovative engineering organisation at the forefront of next-generation electric propulsion technology. We’re looking for an experienced Hardware Technician to support the build and development of advanced electric drive systems in a fast-paced R&D environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity to get hands-on with cutting-edge prototype hardware that will help shape the future of mobility.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Building, modifying, and maintaining prototype motors, inverters, wiring harnesses, and test boxes
* PCB assembly, soldering, rework, and fault finding
* Supporting prototype testing, data capture, and issue resolution
* Working closely with engineers to interpret drawings, BOMs, and design updates
* Maintaining a safe, organised, and fully operational engineering lab
* Managing tooling, calibration, stock, and consumables
* Ensuring accurate build documentation and configuration control
* Working safely with AC/DC systems up to 600V / 25kW
* Contributing to continuous improvement of lab processes and workflows
What We’re Looking For:
* Hands-on hardware build and assembly experience
* Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills
* Experience using multimeters, oscilloscopes, soldering equipment, and test tools
* Ability to read technical drawings and follow build instructions
* Excellent attention to detail and documentation standards
* Good understanding of ESD and electrical safety practices
Contract Details:
* Start: ASAP
* Duration: Initially up to 8 weeks (with likely extension)
* Hours: Flexible / mutually agreed
* Based onsite Monday - Friday
