About the role
Our Assistant Store Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in our beautiful Berwick Street store in London’s vibrant and historic shopping area, Soho.
The role involves supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily operations, managing the sales team, maintaining excellent customer service standards, and driving sales performance to meet targets. Additional responsibilities include supervising stock management, ensuring store visual merchandising aligns with brand standards, and fostering a positive and productive workplace culture.
The successful candidate will act as a key point of contact for both the team and customers, ensuring a seamless shopping experience and operational efficiency.
What you need
* Excellent knowledge of fashion retail and experienced in team management and leadership, with the ability to mentor and motivate teams
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with customers and team members
* Proven customer service skills able to deliver and inspire a welcoming and memorable shopping experience
* Commercial skills, including achieving targets and driving KPI’s and revenue growth
* Ability to adapt to the changing pace of a retail environment and ensure operational efficiency
* A passion for contemporary fashion and commitment to representing the Universal Works brand with authenticity
* A passionate brand ambassador, always keeping brand strategy and values front of mind.
