* Hours/Working Pattern:
As Facilities Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity and presentation of the development, ensuring residents and visitors experience excellence at every touchpoint. Working closely with the Estate Manager, you’ll oversee site-based staff, manage contractors, coordinate maintenance schedules, and lead capital projects—all while delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Building Management
* Conduct daily inspections of communal areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and maintenance.
* Manage M&E contracts and contractor performance.
* Oversee planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
* Maintain stock levels and manage procurement of essential supplies.
* Monitor compliance and update systems accordingly.
* Assist in budget preparation and ensure service charge funds are appropriately allocated.
Maintenance & Repairs
* Coordinate emergency and routine repairs, liaising with contractors and residents.
* Ensure all reactive works are followed up and communicated effectively.
Resident Services
* Act as a visible and approachable on-site presence.
* Support residents with queries, complaints, and emergencies.
* Monitor move-ins/outs to minimise disruption and maintain communal standards.
Team Leadership
* Lead and support on-site teams including cleaning and security.
* Conduct staff inductions, training, and annual appraisals.
* Manage rotas, holidays, and equipment to ensure operational efficiency.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
* Proven experience in facilities management within a premium residential or hospitality setting. Armed forces backgrounds are also welcomed.
* Strong leadership and team development skills.
* Extensive contractor management experience.
* Deep understanding of planned maintenance standards (e.g. SFG20).
* High-level Health & Safety knowledge.
* Financial acumen and experience in budget management.
