Pay Rates: £22.99 per hour
Shift Patterns: 37.5 hours Mon-Fri 09:00-17:00

This role is based across two wards - Kennet Ward, our acute medium-secure MH ward, and Evenlode Ward, our medium-secure LD ward in the Oxford Clinic on the Littlemore site.
We are looking for a highly motivated and resourceful, qualified and registered Social Work professional who is keen to utilise their skills and experience to bring the social care perspective into the forensic mental health In-patient setting, supporting service users in their recovery journey.
Main duties of the job
* Act as the Safeguarding Lead for their designated ward and participate in MDT reviews and discussions regarding any incidents that may occur.
* Function effectively across a variety of environments (e.g., wards of varying levels of security, service users' homes, inter-agency settings, etc.) including contributing to home risk assessments.
* Contribute towards the multi-disciplinary assessment and management of risk, working within often complex, dynamic, and sensitive situations.
* Attend and present written and oral evidence at various forums including ward MDT meetings, Mental Health Tribunals, and Hospital Managers Hearings.
* Identify social care issues on admission/ongoing and ensure liaison with current housing providers and Social Security Benefits are made, addressing property and tenancy issues early.

Person Specification
Experience
* Relevant experience working with adults with mental health issues or learning difficulties.
Qualifications
* Degree in Social Work or an equivalent qualification.
* Registered with Social Work England.
