Role Overview
Reporting to the Operations Manager and Retail Senior Team, the Site Manager will have overall responsibility for their site on a day-to-day operational and people basis, and achieving all targets, budgets, and KPIs set. Sewell Retail Site Managers are responsible for ensuring a world-class customer experience and maintaining the site as a top shopping facility.
Hours of Work
35 hours per week, flexible from Monday to Sunday.
Key Responsibilities
1. Ensure excellent customer service through team management and motivation.
2. Manage and motivate the team, including recruitment, training, and discipline.
3. Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring key products and services are always available.
4. Maximize sales via pricing, merchandising, promotions, and new product trials.
5. Ensure compliance with Age Restricted policies and staff training.
6. Maintain operational efficiency, conduct daily walkabouts, resolve issues, and check equipment.
7. Manage budget, monitor stock and overheads, review suppliers, and minimize theft.
8. Promote a high-performance environment with regular training.
9. Ensure safety and security, including awareness of theft and fraud, and adherence to health & safety procedures.
10. Collaborate with Retail Management and other teams to deliver excellent products and services.
Requirements
Skills & Attributes
The candidate should have:
* Previous supervisory or management experience
* A passion for delivering excellent service
* Understanding of site management aspects like health & safety, training, and stock management
* Proactive, 'hands on' approach and initiative
* Positive, approachable, and professional attitude
* Good computer literacy
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Willingness to learn and develop
* Availability for 24/7 contact (company phone provided)
* Valid BIIAB training or equivalent and a Personal Licence
