Job Description
Reporting:The Management Accountant will report to the Financial Controller.Key Accountabilities· Assist with the annual budget preparation process in collaboration with department heads and the finance team.· Support the production of regular income and expenditure and cashflow forecasts.· Support the finance team in embedding the month-end close process.· Produce regular reconciliations of cashflow actuals against forecasts.· Manage the fixed asset registers and depreciation.· Support with legacy pension scheme administration.· Support the finance team in producing financial papers for College Executive and Governors.· Provide financial support and guidance to non-financial colleagues across the school.· Manage the termly pupil charity collections and payment of donations.· Completion of ONS Surveys.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:At least 5 years' experience working in a management accountant or similar level role within a Finance Team.Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA with relevant experienceAccuracy and strong attention to detail.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficient IT literacy - particularly in Excel and Outlook.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong administrative and organisational skills.Ability to effectively manage competing priorities.Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and demands.Able to maintain confidentiality.
3. Strong interpersonal skills with the capacity to communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues across varying roles and seniority within the school
