Are you passionate about supporting older people to live independently and safely in their homes? As an Elderly Services Officer (Casual), you'll play a vital role in delivering a 24-hour social alarm monitoring and mobile response service that truly makes a difference. Working at the heart of the community, you'll provide practical support and reassurance to vulnerable customers, responding swiftly and sensitively to their needs.

Key Responsibilities
* Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and incidents, ensuring customer safety and wellbeing at all times.
* Install, demonstrate, and maintain Telecare equipment in customers' homes, ensuring accurate record-keeping and follow-up.
* Identify vulnerable customers and refer them to appropriate support services where necessary.
* Use a computerised stock control system for managing and allocating Telecare equipment.
* Handle customer queries with empathy and a solution-focused approach.
* Apply manual handling techniques to support customers, following training and safety guidelines.
* Promote inclusive practices and ensure equality, diversity, and inclusion are central to all service delivery.
* Proactively report and follow up on health and safety concerns.
What you'll need to succeed
* A genuine commitment to supporting older and vulnerable people with care and respect.
* Confidence in using digital tools, including mobile devices, Telecare systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
* A full, clean driving licence and the ability to travel to customers' homes as required.
* Experience handling emergencies and making sound decisions under pressure.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to remain calm, clear, and compassionate.
* Flexibility to work unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends, when needed.
* A values-driven approach that aligns with our principles: acting with good intentions, communicating openly, listening carefully, and working together.
* A satisfactory DBS check will be required for this role.
